Guglhupf Bakery & Pâtisserie was founded in Durham in the fall of 1998 by Claudia Cooper and Hartmut Jahn.

We are dedicated to offering the Triangle community authentic artisan baked goods.

Guglhupf uses traditional European baking techniques. Our products are prepared fresh daily by classically trained bakers and pastry chefs. They feature natural ingredients and sourdough leavening, and are baked in a stone hearth oven.

In addition to a wide range of breads, rolls and pastries, we have a selection of cakes, desserts, tarts, tortes and seasonal specialties. Birthday and wedding cakes, and other custom-made products are also available.

Guglhupf presents Breaducation—our efforts to raise public awareness of the health benefits of artisan breads.
